STONE – Zaya Wade Makes Runway Debut During Paris Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week just got a lot more exciting with Zaya Wade, daughter of Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, making her runway debut.

The 13-year-old stunned on the runway as she walked for designer Philipp Plein’s Spring/Summer 2021 show. She wore a black and white ensemble, complete with a bold red lip.

The show, which was held outdoors in the gardens of the Palais de Tokyo, was a star-studded affair. Zaya was joined by a number of other high-profile models, including her step-sister Kaavia James, as well as models Gigi Hadid, Winnie Harlow, and Irina Shayk.

The young star has been making headlines since she came out as transgender in February. She has since become an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, and her runway debut was seen as a major step forward in the fashion world.

In an Instagram post, Zaya thanked Plein for the opportunity, writing, “I’m so thankful for this opportunity to be living out my dreams. This was for sure a moment that I will never forget!”

The moment was also a proud one for her parents. Gabrielle Union posted a video of Zaya’s walk, captioning it, “Proud is an understatement. #ParisFashionWeek.”

The fashion world has been making strides to be more inclusive in recent years, and Zaya’s runway debut is a major milestone. We can’t wait to see what she does next!
